This category is for running against the live public testnet: connecting, syncing, faucets, resets, and anything that behaves differently here than it will on a production network.
Two numbers worth knowing before you start: peer-to-peer runs on 39233, and the mining pool speaks stratum on 3032. Everything else a light client needs comes through the gateway rather than direct chain access — see Lightd Gateway Architecture.
Testnet coins are worthless by design. The chain can be reset. Do not build anything that assumes balances survive.
